10th International Symposium on the Biology of Terrestrial Isopods

2017. augusztus 27. és 30. között Magyarországon első alkalommal, Budapesten kerül sor a jubileumi, 10. nemzetközi szimpóziumra, ami a szárazföldi ászkarákok (Isopoda: Oniscidea) biológiájáról szól (10th International Symposium on The Biology of Terrestrial Isopods). A találkozó szervezője az Állatorvostudományi Egyetem Ökológiai tanszéke, és a Magyar Biológiai Társaság.

A Szimpózium támogatói között megtalálható a Magyar Természettudományi Múzeum, a Magyar Ökológusok Tudományos Egyesülete, a Fővárosi Állat- és Növénykert, a Pensoft Kiadó.

The 10th International Symposium on The Biology of Terrestrial Isopods will be hosted by the University of Veterinary Medicine(UVM) at Budapest. The main organisation activity is undertaken by the Hungarian Biological Society.

The symposia series on the biology of terrestrial isopods aims to share our up-to-date scientific knowledge on Oniscidea. Diverse topics of presentation and discussion are encouraged, exploring the latest findings on woodlice. One of our main goals is to build scientific connections across the globe, among topics, to give and get new ideas and knowledge on taxonomy, systematics, morphology, biogeography through physiology, ecology, evolution, molecular biology, etc.
